Food tour at Mysore

Indian food is surprisingly tasty and so flavoursome. Can never get sick of Indian curries and masala. Thanks to my dear sister in law, we survive India for 6 days without diarrhoea! And everything is so cheap here. Imagine 50%discount everyday.

Green leaf restaurant
Had a hearty Indian breakfast here

Vada
Deep fried savory Indian doughnut. Nice blend of Indian spices. Fragrant yet not overpowering

Masala Dosa
Indian bread toasted with cripsy skin, filled with potato cubes

Puri
My favorite puffy Indian savory pastry. Taste like roti canai in Malaysia.
All served with Dahl, curry and tomato chutney

The cup of masala tea tasted strangely familiar, just like our own teh tarik infused with masala

Polar bear ice cream parlour
Indians love ice creams. From ice cream roadside stalls to eateries, there's always a suitable flavor for one.
Spanish delight
A mixture of rum raisin and butter scotch ice cream sprinkled with peanut
Soft and rich in flavor.
Joy ice cream factory is just around the corner as well.

The sixth main

A nice variety of Indian vegetarian curries, complete with the sweet combination of ice cream with gulab jamun. The set also came with fried rice and curd rice.
Refreshing mango milkshake, thick and creamy banana lassi, sweet lassi (simply because there's salty lassi!)

Pearl restaurant

Masala butter chicken
Everything using a combination of butter, yogurt and tomato paste tastes incredible!

We will never get sick of eating
Tandoori chicken

Le fortune Coorg

Coorg chicken masala
No need to describe further. Anything with masala, perhaps not the beverages, taste heavenly rich and aromatic.

Gobi Manchurian
Apparently Manchurian means Chinese. It's deep fried cauliflower Indian style.

Parota
Taste like roti canai...Cripsy. roti here are usually not oily at all unless you order buttered ones

Butter chappati

All for Rs285!

Being a carbohydrate lover, would love a bigger portion of rice though.

Crispy seaweed with rice cooked to the perfect consistency and mix of texture. Just too much sauce though.

Complimentary passion fruit juice
Refreshing

Love the chocolate seeds

Go and have a look at the fruit and pudding arrangements. Looks fabulous.

Lunch date at oui chef kuantan

Heard all about the glamorous head chef here. The food is equally glorious. Here is our experience lunching at Oui Chef

Again, our rare date on a Friday because I'm on study leave.

For the generous portion of food, it's good value for money.

We ordered the lunch set.
Complimentary iced lemon tea/cappuccino and mushroom soup entrée

Steak sandwich. Grilled to perfection. Tender and juicy. Just the right texture.
The chef was kind enough to slice the steak into bite size before serving.
Drizzled with yummy sauce.
Focaccia pan fried with butter.
Chips smothered with chili powder.
 RM 21.90

Chicken burger.
Very crispy bread crumbed chicken fillet. Chicken a tad bland though.
A matching selection of tomato slices, spinach leaves, lettuce and rocket
My burger must have been pan fried after grilling the beef because I could taste it in the bun. ROFL.
RM 18.90

Overall great experience and definitely will visit again.

枣子树素食馆 zao zi shu - vegetarian delights

Delicious and healthy Saturday treat.
Thanks Victor and shin yi for introducing this place! Zao zhi shu will change your perception about vegetarian food!

Refreshing fruit tea with orangy and honey flavor. Would be perfect with some ice given the hot weather.

So much chilly powder for the dry pan mee!
Balanced flavor and chewy noodles. Yum

Stir fry pan mee with the exact balance of 'wok hei' the fragrance of fry noodles with enough temperature and timing

Deep fried bean curd skin with stuffing. So crispy that it just sizzles in the mouth

'mutton' curry noodles. For those who thinks vegetarian food is all about boring gluten and flour. This dish will prove you wrong

Beggar's porridge. A yummy blend of rice porridge with fresh and preserved vegetarians. The portion is big even for a glutton like me.

All only for the price of RM60+
Too good to be missed

Chequers TTDI - waffles transformed

Had a lazy Sunday brekie with hubby, Victor, shin yi and baby. Chequers gives you a very lazy weekend feel.
Great atmosphere. Comfy and clean baby chair (you will be surprised at how dirty it can be at some places).

You can build your own waffles or choose from their menu.

Mixed fruit sweet waffles with berry compote and maple syrup. Fresh fruit and good combination. RM 17

Big breakfast waffles with sunny side up double egg yolks. The sauce had too much kick and was a tad too spicy though..RM 26 is a bit too pricey for the portion.

Vegetarian waffles. Nice baked vegetables with generous sesame sauce. RM 20

Smoked salmon savory waffles with scrambled egg. Balanced flavor. But the salmon could be more smokey. A bit disappointed that there was no salad. RM 20

Overall yummy but probably a bit overpriced. Get discounts from the off-peak Android app.
