Korean food bonanza

First time trying out Seoul Garden at East coast mall. Wanted to buy in laws a meal to thank them for taking care of baby Bing when we were away. Was surveying between Manhattan fish market and black canyon as well but decided to have Korean lunch instead.

Seafood kimchi soup hot pot
Kimchi not too overpowering. Generous portion of seafood consisting of prawns, scallops,  tofu, enoki mushroom and glass noodles.

Chicken miso soup hotpot
Soup slightly on the salty side. Soothing combination with tofu, enoki mushroom and glass noodles

Each set comes with 2 rice and 2 beverages. We ordered lemonade.

And who would have thought that Korean food in India would taste so scrumptious? Hae Kum Gang can be hard to find, lost in the hustle bustle of Bangalore. And this restaurant is recommended by our cousin in law.

This was our first meal after my exam. We ordered a sushi platter. Sushi there was slightly heavier for the amount of rice. And Indians don't really eat wasabi because we had to ask the waiter to top up again and again. The fried chicken was marinated thoroughly and tasty to the bones. Of course there's my favorite soondubu jjigae. The kimchi soup tasted heavenly with the tofu.

I'll probably gain kilos if given the chance to visit Korea.

More yummy Indian food

Zaitoon Bangalore

Chain stores featuring Arabic, Indian and Chinese cuisine.
Mildly flavored and suitable to our palate

Pudina naan. Very fragrant minty taste to a piece of roasted Indian bread.

Half chicken kebab. Marinated very well. Roasted to slight charred surface yet tender and juicy chicken thighs.

Hummus and garlic yogurt dip for Lebanese bread. Refreshing.

Finished our meal with nothing left on the plate! Not even the gravy. It's that good

333 hotel
Indians name their restaurants as hotels

Wonderful banana leaf rice and chicken biryani. Side orders are chicken 65 and chicken kebab.

Can never finish their portion of rice. So we always order 2 portions for 3pax.

Of course can't leave the ubiquitous CCD cafe (cafe coffee day)

It's the equivalent of star bucks in India
Caramel coffee
Cappuccino
Citrus infused coffee
Khus cocoja

Fruits here are also surprisingly fresh and cheap. Enjoyed mangoes, pomegranate, watermelon and grapes. All in season and juicy :)

On the way from Bangalore to Mysore, our chauffeur Mr Chikana also introduced us to this wonderful roadside onion bhaji

All these wonderful food without diarrhoea!

Polar bear ice cream parlour
Indians love ice creams. From ice cream roadside stalls to eateries, there's always a suitable flavor for one.
Spanish delight
A mixture of rum raisin and butter scotch ice cream sprinkled with peanut
Soft and rich in flavor.
Joy ice cream factory is just around the corner as well.

The sixth main

A nice variety of Indian vegetarian curries, complete with the sweet combination of ice cream with gulab jamun. The set also came with fried rice and curd rice.
Refreshing mango milkshake, thick and creamy banana lassi, sweet lassi (simply because there's salty lassi!)

Pearl restaurant

Masala butter chicken
Everything using a combination of butter, yogurt and tomato paste tastes incredible!

We will never get sick of eating

Lunch date at oui chef kuantan

Heard all about the glamorous head chef here. The food is equally glorious. Here is our experience lunching at Oui Chef

Again, our rare date on a Friday because I'm on study leave.

For the generous portion of food, it's good value for money.

We ordered the lunch set.

Steak sandwich. Grilled to perfection. Tender and juicy. Just the right texture.
The chef was kind enough to slice the steak into bite size before serving.
Drizzled with yummy sauce.

Very crispy bread crumbed chicken fillet. Chicken a tad bland though.
